Meet the newly named Bello Blue Whale and enjoy some relaxing breaths from the largest species on the planet.
This individual has entered the blue whale catalog many times, the first being in 2012 by Michael Fishbach. All other sightings between 2012 and 2023 have been documented only by Michael Fishbach and his team in the Gulf Of California. In February 2023 our team named this special blue after our friend and board member Max Bello and his wonderful family. Max is one of the great conservation heroes of our time and does so much to help protect our planetary ecosystem and wildlife.
